Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Operations Supervisor to join our team at the Courtyard at Kennedy in Titusville, Florida. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting both our front and back of house team members on a rotating basis. What will you do?
  • Coordinate daily activities with housekeeping and staffing to ensure guest rooms and public areas are cleaned, and perform cleaning duties when necessary.
  • Inspect guest rooms and public outlets daily to ensure adherence to the quality assurance program and follow up on maintenance requests.
  • Prepare weekly inventory, check in supplies, and report discrepancies, while completing the daily housekeeping report.
  • Train and supervise front desk team members and/or housekeeping team members, ensuring adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures; evaluate team member job performance and recommend rewards or corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance to team members on handling difficult problems and resolving escalated guest complaints, and implement policies, procedures, and service standards in conjunction with management.
  • Perform cleaning duties on slower days or when staff shortages occur.
  • Prepare and issue work schedules, deadlines, and duty assignments for office or administrative team members.
More about you
  • Must be at least 21 years old to apply.
  • Housekeeping experience required with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Front desk experience preferred.
  • Experience with computer programs including HotSOS and property management systems.
  • Previous commercial cleaning and guest service experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools, and fixtures.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well under pressure.
Physical requirements
  • Frequent climbing of stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, standing, walking, and carrying.
  • Use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete scrubbing/washing duties.
  • Ability to push carts weighing up to 200 lbs and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Visual acuity sufficient to inspect cleanliness of rooms and surfaces.
  • Regular exposure to fumes, chemicals, and sometimes wet, outdoor, or humid conditions.
