Job summary

General Nutrition Centers, Inc. seeks an Operations IIISupervisor to supervise a warehouse team, drive productivity, and sustain service levels.

You will lead in a positive environment that encourages open communication, recognition, and retention initiatives, while coordinating staffing, equipment, and supply planning to optimize flow. Experience in logistics, supervisory roles, and proficiency with WMS/RF systems will help you succeed in this role within a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, or an Associate's degree in logistics or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred; strong analytical skills required.

POSITION SUMMARY

This positionis responsible formonitoring staff to ensure all distribution duties are completed.Supervise the assigned specific operational area(s) within the warehouse to maximize productivity, employee morale, and ensure that all department service levels are achieved.The Operations IIISupervisor will support the developmentof a positive, collaborative work environment by encouraging open communication, recognizing employee contributions, and helping implement initiatives that promote employee retention and satisfaction.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitor employee and department performance and provide an action plan to maximize productivitywhileutilizingLabor Management System.


• Adequately plan and schedule personnel, equipment, and supplies to maximize efficient flow of materials within the warehouse


• Assistmanagement in developing, implementing, and managing financial and operational plans on a daily, weekly, and annual basis


• Hire, motivate, and train new and current employees


• Provide staff the proper materials, information, and guidance to achieve the daily goals of the department


• Ensure thetimely,accurate,and damage-free handling of materials and merchandise


• Provide safe work environment and make sure employees are handling merchandise and equipment in a safe manner to prevent injuries


• Ensure that all daily, weekly,monthlyand bi-yearly cleaning and housekeeping initiatives are successfully achieved


• Additionalduties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum high school diplomarequiredORAssociates DegreeinLogisticsor related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the jobrequired.


• Bachelor’s Degree inLogisticsor related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the jobpreferred


• 6+yearsprogressiveOperationsexperiencewith a degree or 7+ years’ experiencewithout a degreerequired


• Prior managerial/supervisory experience preferred


• LeanSixSigmaGreen Belt preferred


• Proficiencyin personal computer, radio frequency,WMSand/or other similar technologies


• Ability tooperatemachinery within the facility, including a forklift, asrequired


• Ability to interpret data and make informed decisions based upon the information received
