Job summary

Emerald Technologies in Salem, NH is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a motivated team in a fast-paced EMS environment. You will supervise daily activities, ensure quality standards, and align operations with corporate goals while maintaining safety and compliance.

You will manage timecards, coach employees, review performance, and monitor KPIs. This role requires strong people skills, analytical ability, and the capacity to drive process improvements across departments.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and act on KPIs and performance data.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining a positive team culture.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise daily team activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to quality and efficiency standards.
  • Approve timecards, time-off requests, and schedule changes in accordance with company policies.
  • Provide consistent coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations, including one-on-one meetings and annual reviews.
  • Monitor team and individual performance against KPIs and productivity metrics; implement action plans for improvement.
  • Support team development by identifying training needs, mentoring employees, and facilitating growth opportunities.
  • Escalate and resolve complex issues, customer concerns, or operational challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to align goals and optimize workflow.

The Operation Supervisor plays a key role in executing the company's strategy by aligning team activities with business goals, managing personnel matters, and tracking performance against defined KPIs and metrics. The Operations Supervisor manages the day-to-day operations for an assigned team and is responsible for driving performance, ensuring compliance, developing team members, and maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage performance, and handle sensitive personnel matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting and acting on KPIs and performance data.
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant systems and tools (e.g., timekeeping software, reporting tools , performance management platforms).
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining a positive and supportive team culture.
