Thermal Management Solutions USA is looking for a driven and experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team in Romeo, MI. Responsibilities:

• Prioritize and continuously ensure the safety of employees during the performance of their activities, requiring compliance with health and safety regulations, especially the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), in order to prevent potential accident risks;
• Promote, practice, and ensure compliance with the company’s ethical and moral principles within the production environment, ensuring a climate of respect, integrity, and compliance with internal policies and legal requirements;
• Ensure the quality of parts in accordance with Standardized Work or customer requirements, acting on the containment and resolution of nonconformities;
• Ensure compliance with and provide guidance on conduct standards, maintaining an acceptable level of absenteeism within the department;
• Monitor the production plan and organize activities in order to achieve production targets;
• Act proactively in team management, aiming to reduce absenteeism through monitoring, guidance, communication, and alignment with Human Resources, ensuring the continuity and efficiency of the production process;
• Ensure the proper use of materials and labor, monitoring and recording the data required to achieve OEE targets;
• Identify and prevent problems, define corrective actions, or request support to ensure proper corrections, guaranteeing deliveries in accordance with quality and production objectives;
• Prevent and minimize scrap through proper process conditions and employee awareness;
• Support and motivate production teams to participate in training, aiming to achieve increasing levels of safety, quality, and productivity;
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures and documentation (production releases, monitoring, Standardized Work, Layered Process Audits, etc.;
• Conduct periodic meetings with employees to standardize the level of information and instructions provided to team members;
• Ensure the level of cleanliness and organization defined in accordance with the Company’s standards and requirement;
• Ensure the proper use, conservation, and organization of machines, equipment, and tools;
• Communicate process, quality, safety, or environmental deviations to immediate leadership, or stop the process in the event of any risk;
• Ensure that the disposal and segregation of waste generated by the production areas are carried out in accordance with the instructions established in the Environmental Management System documentation;
• Work jointly with the Production Planning and Sales departments to understand pending issues and organize activities to meet the production needs of the IAM market;
• Monitor the IAM production plan and ensure the proper use of materials and labor

Requirements:

• 1+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial operations environment
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop production teams
• Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP ERP/MES systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
• High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, or related field preferred
