Job summary

Red Rock Transportation Inc is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee day-to-day transportation operations across multiple locations. You will supervise CDL drivers, dispatch personnel, and daily route operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

You will coach and train staff, monitor performance, and support recruiting and onboarding. The role may require driving commercially to support operations as needed.

About this position

Position Summary:

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of transportation operations across multiple locations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of services. This position directly supervises CDL drivers, dispatch personnel, and daily route operations while maintaining high standards for safety, customer service, operational performance, and regulatory compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise transportation operations across multiple locations.


• Oversee CDL drivers, dispatchers, route assignments, scheduling, and staffing.


• Monitor route performance, productivity, and customer service.


• Coach, train, evaluate, and discipline employees.


• Ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, HOS, ELD, and company policies.


• Investigate accidents, incidents, and customer complaints.


• Coordinate fleet maintenance and vehicle availability.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; college preferred.


• Valid Class A CDL required.


• Minimum one (1) year verifiable CDL driving experience.


• Minimum one (1) year Supervisory experience in transportation or logistics preferred.


• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations.


• Experience with dispatch, routing, Microsoft Office, and telematics.


• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and on-call support

• Prolonged sitting (office/administrative work)
