Job summary

Swift Transportation seeks an overnight fleet supervisor in Alabama (Opelika) to lead a group of 10+ drivers and optimize driver availability from 6pm to 6am.

Responsibilities include reviewing profitability, coaching drivers, meeting home-time expectations, and maximizing fleet efficiency while managing safety performance. The role offers growth within a large, nationwide carrier.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in transportation industry preferred.
• Must be able to lead others.
• Must possess exceptional communication skills.
• Must be able to work in high pressure situations in a fast paced environment.
• Bachelor's or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required.

Responsibilities

• Routinely review P/L for assigned area and find ways to maximize profitability.
• Develop high performing drivers through daily interactions, coaching and positive reinforcement.
• Meet drive home time expectations by actively managing expectations and keeping commitments.
• Maximize P/L for all assigned tractors and trailers.
• Proactively manage safety performance to achieve insurance and claims cost as a percentage of revenue targets.

Pay Range: $50,900.00 - $61,800.00 Annual

Overnight position from 6pm to 6am.

Job Responsibilities: What you will do
