Job summary

FusionSite in Memphis is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee pickup and delivery of units, coordinate with satellite teams, and ensure safety on the road.

You will lead route execution, vehicle maintenance, and customer interactions while maintaining compliance with transport laws. This hands-on role requires hands-on leadership and willingness to work varied hours.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years of related experience, a high school diploma, and a CDL may be required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Vocational/technical training or apprenticeship in auto repair or related field is required.
  • Two years of related experience preferred.
  • Commercial driver’s license may be required.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of equipment, units, trucks, and repair.
  • Ability to safely and effectively operate all tools and equipment.
  • Ability to use navigation tools such as GPS, apps, and maps.
  • Ability to follow and communicate directions with limited supervision.
  • Ability to communicate with dispatch, team, customers, and leadership.
  • Proficiency in office and route logistics software, or similar software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Availability for weekend, evening, and on-call hours.

Responsibilities

  • Route Execution: complete efficient delivery and pick-up, adapt as needed.
  • Loading & Delivery: load vehicle, pick up units, deliver replacements, and manage returns.
  • Customer Interaction: deliver to addresses, obtain signatures and payments when needed.
  • Unit Maintenance: flush, empty, clean units; disinfect areas affected by sewage.
  • Safety & Compliance: follow safety standards and transportation laws; support safety reviews.
  • Team Support: review staff schedules and train new team members on safety and performance.
  • Vehicle Care: ensure vehicles receive basic service and report larger issues.
  • Yard Support: assist with yard and maintenance duties after routes.
  • Planning & Feedback: update maps/routes and provide feedback to routing team.

FusionSite is seeking a reliable, safety-minded Operations Supervisor to pick up and deliver units and cover routes as needed, cleaning and maintaining port-a-potties, hand-wash stations, and hand sanitizer stations. In this role, you'll coordinate with our satellite location team, keep deliveries running efficiently, and serve as a role model for safety and customer service on the road.

What You'll Do

  • Route Execution: Complete an efficient delivery and pick-up route for the day, adapting as business conditions change, and fill in on portable toilet routes and dumpster/trailer orders as needed.
  • Loading & Delivery: Load the delivery vehicle with scheduled units and equipment; pick up units along the route, deliver replacements, complete dump runs, and handle returns, company orders, and other equipment as requested.
  • Customer Interaction: Deliver to the correct addresses, obtaining signatures, payment, and proof of receipt when necessary.
  • Unit Maintenance: Flush, empty, and clean units; perform other services required to maintain or repair units, tanks, and systems; clean and disinfect areas affected by sewage.
  • Safety & Compliance: Meet all safety standards by abiding by transportation laws and company policies, maintaining a safe driving record, and supporting safety reviews, coaching, and enforcement in partnership with the GM.
  • Team Support: Review and support staff schedules and activities to ensure safety and customer needs are met; educate new team members on safety standards, performance expectations, and safe machinery operation.
  • Vehicle Care: Ensure vehicles receive basic service according to maintenance schedule, report larger service needs and mechanical issues to a supervisor, test drive vehicles to confirm safe operation, and work with other job sites to inspect and maintain fleet condition.
  • Yard Support: Assist with general yard and maintenance duties when routes are completed; request or order necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Planning & Feedback: Plan and recommend timetables for repairs and maintenance; update maps and routes assigned, providing feedback to the routing team.
  • Customer Relationships: Maintain and develop positive relationships with existing and prospective clients, demonstrating excellent customer service and setting an example for other staff.
  • Continuous Improvement: Provide recommendations for improving workplace safety.
  • Additional Support: Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times
  • Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present
