The Louisville Distribution Center is looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities. You will implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate volume within time limits. Your goal is to ensure daily operations meet and exceed performance expectations and increase the company’s market share.
Responsibilities
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of orders.
- Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees performance.
- Provide leadership to manage, coach, and direct assigned teams to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
- Manage timecards and time off requests.
- Manage the team’s performance through evaluations, development, training, and promotions.
- Interview and select new talent.
- Hold team accountable through coaching and discipline.
- Motivate and reinforce good behavior through timely recognition.
- Communicate and administer company and department policies, work practices, and procedures effectively.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and remove barriers to success using a data driven problem solving approach.
- Support, implement, and sustain continuous improvement initiatives.
- Operate power-industrial equipment.
Skills Required
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor.
- Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques.
- Knowledge of warehouse software packages, preferable SAP, and MS Office proficiency.
- Ability to input, retrieve, and analyse data.
- Hands‑on commitment to getting the job done.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in decision making and exercising sound judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
- Effective communication with staff and peers from upstream and downstream processes.
- Ability to motivate engagement of a diverse group of employees and drive change.
- Coach and mentor direct reports.
- Clear understanding of problem‑solving processes and methods.
- Identify obstacles within the department that may keep employees from being effective; take action to address issues.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, organise and accurately prioritise work, be detail oriented, understand urgency, and use good judgement.
- Use sound judgement and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information.
- Handle and manage change successfully.
- Build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally, collaborating cross‑functionally.
- Plan and hold the team accountable to daily tasks and departmental strategic goals.

Education/Experience
- 3+ years of applicable job experience in a distribution environment (e.g., production, distribution, logistics).
- 5+ years of previous leadership/supervision experience required.
- Experience with Lean System practices across multiple processes.
- Track record of ensuring equipment is properly maintained and preventative maintenance is performed in a timely manner.
- SAP knowledge preferred.

Physical Demands
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds; frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally 40 pounds.

Salary range reflects entry into the role and future growth. Total Compensation is Base Salary + Benefits.
