Job summary

RXO is seeking a Supervisor, Operations in Managed Transportation in Lansing, MI to drive process improvements and LEAN-based efficiency across PC&L, operations, and customer interfaces.

You will mentor hourly staff, optimize scheduling and inventory processes, and foster cross-functional collaboration while upholding safety and policy standards in a dynamic transportation environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics or supply chain.
• Experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS), preferably Oracle Transportation Management.

As a Supervisor, Operations in Managed Transportation at RXO, you'll use your expertise in process improvement and LEAN principles to enhance efficiency and drive continuous improvement. With a strong understanding of processing centers and scheduling procedures, you'll ensure seamless collaboration between the PC&L (Production Control & Logistics) team, the operations team and the customer to optimize operations and performance.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Leverage expertise in process improvement methodologies to maximize operational efficiency and effectiveness
• Drive continuous improvement by implementing LEAN principles to streamline workflows and reduce waste
• Apply a deep understanding of processing centers and scheduling procedures to manage workflows and optimize productivity
• Foster collaboration among PC&L teams, supply chain partners and customers to enhance operational performance and achieve shared goals
• Navigate complex operational challenges with clarity, resolving ambiguity to maintain focus and productivity
• Utilize comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end process flows, from inbound to outbound, to ensure accurate inventory management and billing
• Mentor and develop hourly team members across all PC&L departments, promoting growth and skill-building
• Cultivate a positive work environment that prioritizes employee morale, development, teamwork and accountability
• Address employee conflicts proactively using proven leadership strategies to maintain a cohesive and motivated workforce
• Maintain a safe and respectful workplace by enforcing policies against harassment, drugs and workplace violence, while promptly documenting and reporting concerns or incidents to management

At a minimum, you'll need:

• 2 years of experience in transportation, logistics or supply chain

It'd be great if you also have:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Experience working with a Transportation Management Systems (TMS), preferably Oracle Transportation Management
• Experience with process improvement initiatives
• Solid leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively supervise, coach and influence employees
• A willingness to work cross-functionally on multiple accounts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
