Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Jonestown, PA is seeking an Operations Supervisor to direct daily activities, lead up to 20 associates, and ensure safety, quality, and customer SLA targets are met.

You will collaborate with Resource Freight Planning, Inventory Management, Quality, Sales and branch management to resolve production issues and drive continuous improvement while upholding ISO and 6S standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience supervising teams in a logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO policies and 6S standards.
  • Ability to meet production cost, schedule and quality targets.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve safety, line utilization and quality targets while meeting customer SLA’s and controlling labor costs.
  • Track KPIs and costs, identify trends, and correct deviations.
  • Oversee equipment reliability to minimize downtime.
  • Supervise up to 20 full-time/temporary associates.
  • Set up and operate equipment per work orders and procedures.
  • Train and coach staff on department processes and policies.
  • Mentor team leads on leadership skills such as communication and accountability.
  • Ensure production costs and schedules align with operating plans.
  • Monitor weekly production metrics for productivity and quality.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to meet targets.
  • Interface with planning, quality and sales to resolve defects and meet customer requirements.

Pay Range: $65,000 - $70,000

Shift: Days Monday - Friday

Location: 80 Micro Drive, Jonestown, PA 17038

Your Role:

Directs daily business activity and provides leadership for assigned personnel. Responsible for communicating with Resource Freight Planning, Inventory Management, Quality, Sales and branch management to resolve any production issues. Accountable for assigned areas to ensure we meet or exceed all customer SLA’s as well as Operating plan performance metrics.

What Are You Going To Do?
  • Achieve performance standards with regards to safety, line utilization and qualityexceed customer SLA’s while minimizing labor costs
  • Achieve performance standards with regards to safety, line utilization and qualityTracks key performance indicators/costs, anticipating and correcting trends which would compromise achievement of financial targets
  • Oversees and assures facility equipment reliability to minimize downtime
  • Supervise up to 20 full-time/temporary associates
  • Set up and operate equipment according to the Production Work Order Requirements, On-the-Job-Training (OJT) and/or operation procedures
  • Train and coach employees on department work instructions, processes, procedures and policiesCoach and mentor team leads on leadership skills such as communication, results, accountability, etc
  • Manages personnel, material, and equipment safely and effectively
  • Meets production cost, schedules, and quality requirements through the utilization of established manufacturing processes and methods
  • Monitors and reports weekly production metrics on productivity and quality
  • Identifies continuous improvement opportunities to ensure performance targets are consistently met
  • Interfaces with planning and quality management when defects or non-conforming products are found
  • Determines best methods to handle deviations from standardized processes
  • Responsible for maintaining all defined 6S standards
  • Accountable for all ISO policies and procedures for areas assigned makes recommendations for change
  • Communicates daily with Sales, Purchasing and Operational personnel to effectively provide relevant information in order to meet and or exceed customer requirements
  • Provides leadership and guidance to all staff for continual improvement of key functions and activities to improve efficiency and meet increasing customer and business demands
  • Ensures labor is balanced across department as required to meet each day’s business needs, minimize overtime and reduce labor costs
  • Maintains a professional, helpful attitude in dealings with co-workers, supervisors and their departmental personnel at all times
  • Responsible for managing the administrative tasks of validating Kronos punches and correcting missed punches (daily), executing the Corrective Action Responses and implementing corrective changes to meet the required timelines outlined in the process document and executing the Quarterly/Annual Employee Performance Appraisal processes meeting the HR timeline as published
