Job summary

Energizer Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Night Operations Supervisor at our Garrettsville, OH facility.

This role directs, supervises, and coordinates production operations in a team-based environment, applying policies to optimize safety, quality, cost, and delivery while ensuring compliance and consistency with Energizer work rules. Responsibilities

• Supervise plant, value stream, or assigned area operations to meet commitments while pursuing safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals.
• Support facility management in maintaining high colleague morale.
• Provide leadership and enforce Energizer policies and work rules for consistency.
• Maintain schedules, costs, quality, safety, material utilization, and productivity directions.
• Develop production and maintenance schedules and workforce planning to optimize flexibility.
• Analyze costs, material utilization, and inventory levels to resolve variances and implement controls.
• Promote safety and 5S practices within the area and ensure environmental performance.
• Lead training needs and provide colleague development for the area.
• Promote high performance among hourly employees and support performance appraisals.
• Drive proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement through projects.
• Promote team initiatives and empowerment.
• Direct supervision of hourly staff in the assigned area.
• Report to Value Stream Manager or other management member.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Scheduling/Logistics, HR, and management to share best practices.

Position Summary

The Night Operations Supervisor is responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating production operations for the entire plant or an assigned area within a team-based environment. This role is responsible for effectively administering policies and procedures and utilizing resources to optimize operational efficiency, material utilization, and labor flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Supervise plant, value stream, or assigned area operations and provide direction to ensure current commitments are achieved while continuous improvements are made in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and related areas.
• Support facility management in building and maintaining high colleague morale.
• Provide direct leadership and consistently administer Energizer policies and work rules to ensure compliance and consistency.
• Maintain working knowledge of schedules, costs, quality, safety, material utilization, and productivity, and provide direction and guidance to achieve deliverables.
• Develop and coordinate production and maintenance schedules, as well as workforce planning, to optimize the flexibility of people, processes, and equipment.
• Analyze costs, material utilization, and inventory levels to resolve variances; develop necessary controls to monitor these areas and promote problem-solving to address gaps.
• Promote safety, health, and environmental initiatives, as well as 5S and housekeeping practices, within the assigned area.
• Maintain accountability for safety, health, and environmental performance; determine training needs and administer colleague training for the assigned area.
• Promote high performance among hourly employees, including supporting performance appraisals.
• Demonstrate a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement; lead or facilitate improvement efforts and special projects related to safety, quality, cost, and other operational priorities.
• Promote and champion team initiatives, colleague ownership, and empowerment.
• Provide direct supervisory accountability for hourly colleagues in the assigned area.
• Report directly to the Value Stream Manager or another member of management.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Scheduling/Logistics, Human Resources, support staff, and members of management at the location and other applicable sites to ensure consistency in achieving goals and sharing best practices for continuous improvement.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred; or 4–5 years of equivalent experience for an entry-level position.
• Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, organizational, and motivational abilities.
• Previous production, maintenance, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of or experience with continuous improvement practices preferred.
• Practical technical understanding and strong facilitation skills.

Total Rewards Package

The salary range for this position is USD $67,100.00/Yr. - USD $128,600.00/Yr.

Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
