Central Transport LLC is hiring a hands-on supervisor to manage outbound operations at the Effingham terminal. You will lead up to 10 local LTL drivers and dock staff, ensuring on-time performance and safe loading practices within DOT/OSHA guidelines.

The ideal candidate has transportation or cross-docking experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication. Shift is 9:00am–7:00pm, Monday–Friday, with a competitive salary up to $75,000 plus bonus.

Responsabilidades

• Manage up to 10 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to production schedules.
• Ensure proper carrier loading by monitoring cube and trailer weight.
• Provide leadership to drivers, dock workers and dock hand.
• Monitor dock production and KPI attainment.
• Monitor hours and overtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment per DOT/OSHA standards.
• Support compliance with company operational model and quality of service.

Salary: Up to $75,000 + bonus

Shift: 9:00am - 7:00pm Monday-Friday

Ideal Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in a transportation, cross docking, or shipping and receiving environment (preferably within the LTL industry)
• Strong leadership qualities
• Desire to surround customer with excellence in service
• High aptitude for technology
• The ability to multi-task while being detail oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• An Associates or Bachelor's Degree, preferred but not required

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee outbound operations for your designated section of the terminal dock
• This includes the process of loading, managing forklift traffic, and overseeing the proper unloading of palletized freight.
• Manage up to 10 local LTL drivers and dock personnel to achieve a designated production schedule.
• Ensure proper load of carriers by monitoring the cube and weight of trailers
• Provide leadership and accountability to a team of drivers, dock workers and dock hand.
• Monitor dock production, ensuring facility Key Performance Indicator goals are met and/or exceeded.
• Monitor hours and overtime.
• Maintain a safe work environment compliant with state and federal DOT/OSHA standards.
• Ensure company operational model compliance.
• Support a culture of excellence in quality of product to internal and external customers
