Momentum is a local, family-oriented company focused on employee welfare and reliable service. The Operations Specialist Afterhours position works Friday through Monday, with shifts from 8a to 7p or 7a to 6p, handling weekend operations and ensuring customer requirements are fully met.

The role emphasizes scheduling trucks, negotiating rates, tracking shipments, and communicating issues across teams, while maintaining system data and promoting quality service standards.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Complete accurate and timely scheduling and dispatching of trucks to meet customer demands.
• Negotiate with transportation providers for best rates and service.
• Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery and provide track & trace updates.
• Communicate service issues to relevant personnel and departments.
• Update and maintain transportation management and operations system.
• Prioritize tasks to address issues impacting quality and service.
• Adhere to company standards on customer satisfaction, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Identify problems and implement solutions swiftly.
• Provide complex problem resolution and guidance to others.
• Use industry systems and knowledge to process client shipments.
• Maintain regular attendance and flexibility for overtime.
• Demonstrate professional, respectful behavior at all times.

Job Summary:

The Operations Specialist Afterhours position works Friday - Monday, either 8a - 7p or 7a - 6p. This nonexempt position is responsible for maintaining the afterhours and weekend operations on behalf of the company by taking complete responsibility ensuring that all customer requirements are completely met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complete accurate and timely scheduling and dispatching of trucks to ensure that the flow of product in and out meets customer demands.
• Negotiate with transportation providers to obtain the best rates and service.
• Monitor shipments from pickup through delivery so that accurate, up-to-date information can be provided regarding any shipment (track & trace)
• Provides constant communications of service issues to appropriate personnel and departments, both internal and external
• Update and maintain transportation management and operations system.
• Prioritizes tasks and workload to focus on issues that directly impact quality and service performance.
• Adheres to company standards on customer satisfaction, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Proactively identify problems and swiftly implement the appropriate solutions.
• Provide complex problem resolution and provides guidance to others.
• Utilize specialized industry and company computer systems and procedures, reference materials/documentation and personal industry knowledge to process client shipments.
• Maintains regular, timely, and consistent attendance at work.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Consistently demonstrate professional, respectful behavior to all.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• AS400 experience
