Johnson Service Group, Inc. seeks an Operations Specialist - III (Senior) in Elkton, VA to guide DeltaV automation development, testing, and commissioning within a regulated biopharma environment.

You'll translate legacy control functions into DeltaV design requirements, review batch sheets, and support safety and quality during startup and commissioning, with emphasis on operational excellence and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in biopharmaceutical drug substance or SDI operations.
• Strong familiarity with legacy API/SDI control systems and operational sequences.
• Proven experience creating recipes, batch sheets, or operational sequences in a computerized environment.
• Experience navigating the commercial supply phase within a regulated pharmaceutical setting.
• Excellent communication skills with a track record of effective collaboration across technical and operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and reviews, providing real-time feedback from a process and operational perspective.
• Translate legacy control system functions and manufacturing practices into clear requirements for DeltaV system design.
• Interpret batch sheets and recipes to refine control sequences, graphics, and operator workflows.
• Review and approve design documents, test scripts, and SOPs to guarantee operational accuracy and safety.
• Support testing phases, risk identification, and commissioning activities, collaborating across teams to resolve functional gaps or safety concerns.
• Contribute to safety reviews, alarm management, and operator access planning to uphold high standards of safety and performance.
• Prepare operational procedures and training inputs to ensure a smooth transition during facility startup.

JSG is recruiting an Operations Specialist - III (Senior) for our client in Elkton VA.

Pay $40/hour to $42/hour.

Overview

As a key member of our Agile Sprint team, you'll bring your deep operational expertise to guide the development, testing, and commissioning of the new DeltaV automation solution. Your insights will directly influence system design, operational safety, and user experience ensuring our manufacturing processes are optimized for quality and compliance.

What You’ll Do & Achieve
