Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:
Working directly under the Enloe Health Foundation’s Director of Advancement and the Advancement Operations Manager (AOM) and in conjunction with the Advancement Operations Coordinator (AOC), the Advancement Operations Specialist (AOS) is responsible for assisting in entering and maintaining donations, bio-demographic data and other pertinent donor-related data into the donor database. Ensures financial contributions are handled with appropriate security and control. Responsible for preparing, reviewing, printing, and mailing IRS-compliant acknowledgment letters related to donations. Assists in maintaining the integrity of data and database. Prioritizes work to ensure timely completion of all tasks related to gift processing, gift tracking and donor recognition. Assists in performing gift processing functions at fundraising events as needed. Provides administrative assistance to Foundation colleagues. Maintains strong working relationships with Foundation and Marketing colleagues, division colleagues, all volunteers, board members, and committee members in a manner consistent with the mission, vision and values of Enloe Health.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Two years’ experience in administrative support with database functional training and/or Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing or related field.
Desired:
Experience in health care or hospital environment, experience in database management, administrative assistant experience preferably in a health care foundation setting.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must have excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain a high degree of rapport and interact professionally with volunteers, donors, physicians, and the public. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality. Must be able to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment. Internet document retrieval experience. Strong written composition skills. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential. Demonstrated proficiency with accounting and banking procedures. Capable of using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (Microsoft Office Suite) along with the ability to utilize database functions for a variety of support activities. Must have keyboarding experience/ability. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
