Job summary

Bird is seeking an Operations Specialist in Akron, OH to keep our scooter fleet moving. This is a full-time and part-time role with weekend and weekday shifts (7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm) and pay at $16/hour.

You will drive, deploy, relocate, and prepare scooters for riders, perform basic diagnostics, support warehouse operations, and collaborate with a fast-paced team to hit daily goals across the city. Join a mission-driven team that values safety, reliability, and innovation as we expand

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least two years of driving experience.
• Comfortably using smartphone apps while on the move.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs (with or without accommodation).
• Able to work weekends and varied shifts.
• Proficiency in English; bilingual a plus.
• Prior delivery/logistics/warehouse experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive, load/unload scooters and follow routes to deploy or retrieve.
• Operate a smartphone while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Relocate scooters from low-demand to high-demand areas efficiently.
• Perform basic diagnostics and quality checks on scooters and e-bikes.
• Support warehouse and fleet staging operations.
• Communicate clearly with teammates and use internal tools to hit daily goals.

We're hiring for a full-time and part time position, through our trusted staffing partner, TalentBurst. This will be a 7am-3pm or 3pm -11pm on weekends , 3pm-11pm on weekdays

As an Operations Specialist, you’ll play a key role in keeping our fleet moving. You’ll drive, deploy, relocate, and prepare scooters for riders, working behind the scenes to ensure every ride is safe, smooth, and on time.

What You'll Do

• Operate a smartphone while multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Relocate scooters from low-demand to high-demand areas efficiently
• Perform basic diagnostics and quality checks on scooters and e-bikes
• Support warehouse and fleet staging operations
• Communicate clearly with teammates and use internal tools to hit daily goals.
• Participate in product testing and new feature rollouts

What You Bring

• Must be 21+ years old.
• A valid driver’s license with at least two years of driving experience
• Comfortably using smartphone apps while on the move
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs (with or without accommodation). Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
• Able to work weekends
• Proficiency in English, bilingual a plus!
• Bonus: Availability for weekend or varied shift work, and familiarity with local streets and neighborhoods
• Previous experience in delivery, logistics, rideshare, or warehouse work is a plus

Pay: $16/hour
