The role requires analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and strong collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Transportation, Public Administration or related field required; equivalent experience may substitute.
• Must have four (4) years of Operations experience.
• Strong understanding of Operations functions including asset maintenance and reporting processes.
• Ability to influence and drive action across operational teams and senior leadership.
• Familiarity with capital projects, asset life-cycle management, and operational reporting.
• Proficiency in data analysis and data-driven decision making.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel within Metra's 6-county region and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate alignment between Operations and Audit remediation team during remediation efforts.
• Coordinate collection of documentation, data, and information for capital asset recalculation activities.
• Participate in key project meetings to receive status updates and provide operational guidance.
• Provide operational knowledge related to capital asset acquisition, reporting and processes.
• Escalate issues requiring senior management attention and identify stakeholders for project objectives.
• Coordinate day-to-day activities, assign tasks and monitor performance, offering guidance.
• Promote safe work practices and maintain a safe work environment.
