GFL Environmental Services seeks an on-site Front-line Leader to oversee safe shift execution in a continuous-process refinery setting. You will coordinate operators, manage alarms, and enforce safety standards during 12‑hour day/night rotations.

Ideal candidates bring 3–7 years of refinery/chemical operations with supervisory experience, strong communication, and rigorous attention to procedures in a high- pace environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct shift turnover and ensure clear communication of operating status.
• Coordinate unit operations, alarms response, and field rounds.
• Enforce permit-to-work, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and safe work practices.
• Initiate notifications and escalation during process upsets/emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 standards, Process Safety Management (PSM) (29 CFR 1910.119), Management of Change (MOC), and environmental compliance programs.

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of continuous-process refinery operations and unit controls (DCS/SCADA knowledge is applicable).
• Expertise in safe work practices (permit-to-work, LOTO) and emergency response protocols.
• Familiarity with CMMS and safe work permitting systems (Preferred).

Qualifications and Requirements
