Job summary

Critter Control is seeking a Service Manager to lead wildlife exclusion, repair, and remediation services for residential and commercial properties. You will coach technicians, ensure safety and service standards, and drive continuous improvement across the district.

In this role, you will manage routing, scheduling, training, and fleet maintenance while supporting recruitment and customer satisfaction. Travel up to 10% and occasional visits to Atlanta are required to coordinate diverse field

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and to Atlanta, GA within 60 days of start date.
• Proven experience in construction, carpentry, roofing, or related fields is preferred.
• Ability to work independently in the field and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train technicians to deliver wildlife exclusion and repair services.
• Conduct regular field inspections to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Manage routing, scheduling, and workload balance across the district.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of new team members.
• Oversee fleet maintenance and ensure vehicles are available for service delivery.
• Address customer concerns and contribute to improving retention and satisfaction.
• Cover open routes as needed due to vacations or turnover.
• Monitor district supplies and ensure proper stock of materials.”
• Collaborate with District Manager on accounts receivable and payments.
• Conduct ride-alongs to provide feedback and coaching.

Responsibilities

As a Service Manager at Critter Control, you oversee and lead service teams responsible for wildlife exclusion, repair, and remediation services for residential and commercial properties. You drive service quality, coach and develop technicians, and ensure adherence to safety, technical, and operational standards while delivering humane, effective wildlife solutions.

What does a day in the life look like?

• Lead and train a team of technicians to deliver high-quality wildlife exclusion and pest control services, ensuring that all service standards are met.
• Conduct regular field inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols and monitor the quality-of-service delivery.
• Manage routing and scheduling to optimize service delivery and operational efficiency, balancing workloads across the team.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of new team members, fostering their development and maintaining service excellence.
• Oversee service fleet maintenance within the district, ensuring vehicles are properly serviced and operational at all times.
• Act as a resource for service and customer satisfaction, addressing concerns, resolving complaints, and working to improve customer retention.
• Cover open routes and jobs when necessary due to employee vacations or turnover, maintaining continuity of service.
• Manage district chemical orders and wildlife control supplies, ensuring all materials are adequately stocked and properly managed (M&S management).
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable in partnership with the District Manager to ensure timely payments and account resolution.
• Conduct regular ride-alongs with technicians, providing real-time feedback and ongoing training to support continuous improvement.
• Ensure employee licensure and assist with renewals, ensuring all district employees are in compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

What do you need to be successful?

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be available to travel up to 10%
• Must be available to travel to Atlanta, GA within 60 days of start date
• Proven experience in construction, carpentry, roofing, or other related fields
• Ability to work in the field independently
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in using several types of software and applications

What does the work environment look like?

• Must be able to drive to various locations, often covering large territories.
• Frequent walking, standing, and moving through diverse types of terrain, including uneven ground, stairs, roofs, and sometimes slippery or muddy areas.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, snow, etc.).
• Must have the ability to climb stairs and ladders safely.
• Must be able to crouch, kneel, bend, and stretch frequently.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Clear verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
