This Position is Subject to Contract Award

JANUS Research Group is currently seeking an Operations Senior Analyst for a contract to support the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS, G8. The DCS G-8 is the principal military advisor to the Chief of Staff, Army (CSA) and the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Financial Management and Comptroller (ASA(FMC)) for the Programming phase of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. The DCS, G-8 coordinates with the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology (ASA(ALT)) on all proposed programming and process recommendations related to ongoing and future acquisition programs and science and technology initiatives. The DCS, G-8 coordinates with Army Futures Command (AFC) for program funding for all elements of the future force materiel modernization enterprise.

Qualifications

  • Must have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of how the HQDA staff works and how the various organizations and components with the HQDA secretariat and staff interact
  • Understand the various Army Senior Leader and Modernization Enterprise forums and support the integration of DOM equities into these forums
  • Perform analysis in support of products presented to senior leadership for decisions or information purposes in support of briefings, working groups, or other decision forums
  • Coordinate with other Army, Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense staffs to develop strategic-level products to present to Army Senior Leaders
  • Provide support in programming data analysis for the Program Objective Memorandum build, program reviews, Strategic Portfolio Analysis Review (SPAR), and senior leader briefs. The Contractor shall provide support in analysis and options to DOM Hardware Divisions in support of SPAR
  • Support the development of strategic-level products in support of budget justification documents, strategic communication plans, maintaining and updating leader smart books
  • Assist with the creation of integrated strategic-level products in support of the POM build and the Strategic Portfolio Analysis Review development.
  • Have a foundational level of operational and / or technical and educational experience / expertise in Combat, Combat Support, Combat Service Support, or combined arms formations and procedures associated with these tactical formations, synthetic training environments
  • Expertise with Force Development Human-Machine Integration (FDH) specific programs to be supported. FDH specific programs can include, but are not limited to, robotic combat vehicles, small Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (sUAS), loitering munitions, robotics, modular mission payloads, advanced autonomous behaviors, machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, synthetic training devices, and networks
