Job summary

Corning Incorporated in Hemlock, MI, is seeking an Operations Section Supervisor to lead and develop operations teams at the Hemlock manufacturing facility. You will direct team leaders and operators, champion continuous improvement, and ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.

You will drive Lean and Process Excellence projects, manage production scheduling, and partner with cross-functional teams to optimize performance while protecting IP.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of manufacturing and/or engineering experience.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in functional or project-based roles.
• Experience supervising direct and indirect employees in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in data collection and analysis to support operational decision-making.
• Project management experience with defined timelines.
• Flexibility to work variable hours including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop team leaders and operators; drive performance reviews and training.
• Manage production schedule compliance and allocate resources to meet targets.
• Monitor performance metrics and partner with cross-functional teams to improve quality, cost and delivery.
• Execute Lean Manufacturing and Process Excellence projects aligned with plant objectives.
• Ensure operations comply with procedures and protect IP.
• Champion safety initiatives and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
