Job summary

CSSI, LLC is seeking an Operations Research Analyst (Intermediate) to join the Air Traffic team in Washington, DC. The role emphasizes analyzing National Airspace System performance and optimizing traffic management initiatives while delivering clear, data-driven insights.

You will develop dashboards using Tableau or Power BI, support performance reporting, and contribute to simulation model evaluation and airfield data digitization efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree + 3 years of relevant experience. Degree in Engineering, math, and science degrees are required. Degree requirement can be replaced with a total of 9 years of relevant experience.
• 3 years of relevant experience in air traffic management and air traffic analysis tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Tableau and Power BI
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and the Microsoft Office suite
• No visa sponsorship. Must possess unrestricted, unlimited authorization to work in the U.S. and for CSSI.

• Develop processes to ingest surface surveillance data, including ADS-B, ASD-X, and future data sources.

• Analyze Traffic Management Initiatives, including Ground Delay Programs, Ground Stops, and reroute activity.
• Conduct systemic analysis of National Airspace System (NAS) operational performance metrics.
• Develop and deliver dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms.
• Provide Performance Analysis reports

  • Assess simulation models and recommend improvements to flexibility, ease of use, simulation logic, sensitivity, animation capability, and graphical user interfaces.
