Job summary

RigUp in Danville, IL is seeking an Entry Level Biodiesel Operator, Loader I for an 18-month assignment. You will operate and monitor upstream/downstream facilities, load/offload, and manage paperwork for each load.

You will also interact with drivers and maintenance teams to ensure safe and efficient operations. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, basic computer skills, and a willingness to obtain forklift certification.

Qualifications

• Entry level, 0-2 years of experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting involving pumps, hoses, valves, tanks, and connecting trucks to fuel pumps.
• Good computer skills with basic Microsoft Office and email usage.
• Willingness to troubleshoot and learn new systems.
• Strong people skills and courteous attitude.
• Ability to work night shift (5pm–1am).
• Steel-toed boots required.
• Onsite safety orientation and site-specific hazard training.
• Forklift certification (provided onsite).

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor plants and facilities, including Upstream and Downstream/ Chemical refineries.
• Monitor process variables, troubleshoot, and intervene to maintain performance.
• Load/offload finished products and raw materials from tankers into storage tanks.
• Process paperwork for each load (billing, inventory, shipments).
• Check in/out trucks and send emails as needed.
• Use automated system that tracks pump connections.
• Operate pumps, hoses, valves, and tanks; connect trucks to fuel pumps.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processes as needed.
• Perform housekeeping duties to prepare for next shift.
• Maintain documentation at a fast pace.
• Operate forklift and small utility vehicles.

Entry Level Biodiesel Operator, Loader I – 3 positions available

This position operates and monitors plants and facilities, typically Upstream facilities after primary separation and processing (such as gas and co-gen plants) and Downstream & Chemical refineries and plants. The role involves loading/offloading finished products and raw materials from tankers into storage tanks, processing paperwork for each load, checking in and out trucks, and using an automated computer system that tracks pump connections.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor plants and facilities, typically Upstream facilities after primary separation and processing (such as gas and co-gen plants) and Downstream & Chemical refineries and plants
• Monitor process variables, troubleshoot, and perform interventions to maintain operating performance
• Load/offload finished products and raw materials from tankers into storage tanks
• Process paperwork for each load with attention to detail (billing, inventory, racking shipments)
• Check in and out trucks and send out emails as needed
• Use automated computer system that tracks pump connections
• Operate pumps, hoses, valves, and tanks - connecting trucks to fuel pumps
• Troubleshoot equipment and processes as needed
• Perform routine tasks independently
• Maintain courteous attitude when working alongside truck drivers throughout the day
• Complete housekeeping duties to prepare for the following shift
• Maintain documentation at a fast pace
• Operate forklift and small utility vehicles

Skills and Qualifications:

Required:

• Entry level, 0-2 years of experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing setting: pumps, hoses, valves, tanks - connecting trucks to fuel pumps
• Good computer skills - experience with basic Microsoft package, office tools (emails, Microsoft Office, comfortable with learning new systems)
• Willing and able to troubleshoot
• Strong people skills and ability to maintain courteous attitude
• Ability to work night shift (5pm – 1am, Monday – Friday)
• Must have steel-toed boots (additional PPE will be provided)
• Willing to complete onsite safety orientation and site-specific hazard training
• Willing to obtain forklift certification (provided onsite)

Preferred:

• Basic knowledge of policies and practices
• Some experience in manufacturing setting
• Forklift experience (will be certified onsite, but prior experience is helpful)
• Plant or manufacturing operator experience with shipping and receiving
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Experience loading and unloading of liquid products - tankers/railcars/truck scales
• Experience handling hazardous materials
• Willing to wear/provide safety toe shoes and FR garments (allowance for PPE would be helpful; hard hat/safety glasses will be provided)

Onboarding Requirements:

• Onsite safety orientation and site-specific hazard training
• Forklift certification (provided onsite)
• Drug Screen

Location:

Danville, IL (300 N. Anderson Danville, IL 61832) - Must be local to Danville, IL

Shift:

Night shift – 5pm – 1am, Monday – Friday (selected candidate will need to be on day shift for a few days after starting to complete onsite safety orientation)

Schedule:

5/40 Rotational Roster – No regular overtime/weekend work; may be opportunities throughout assignment

Duration:

18-month assignment with potential for extension/FTE based on business needs & performance
