Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana in Baton Rouge is seeking a CW Operational Reporting & Data Analyst Intern to support business operations with ad hoc reporting and data gathering.

You will monitor recurring reports, help test data, and assist with integrating data into the Care Management platform (Epic). The role requires completing a degree in information systems, CS, or business administration and strong MS Office and SQL basics.

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Must have basic knowledge of SQL.
• Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication abilities.
• Must demonstrate the ability to think analytically and present ideas professionally.
• Self-motivated, adaptable to a changing work environment and team-oriented.
• Undergraduates must be able to work 20 hours per week during spring and fall semesters and 30-35 hours per week during summer.

Responsibilities

• Provides reporting ad hoc for business operations.
• Monitor and send recurring reports for business area and conducts basic level testing.
• Follow best practices for gathering data in order to ensure an accurate and repeatable process.
• Performs modifications on existing reports based on changing business requirements.
• Collects data to be later analyzed.
• Assists with data integration into Care Management platform (Epic).
• Monitor reporting environments for performance issues and collaborates with higher level for troubleshooting.
• Review the existing reports and validate the need for existing and new reports.
