Job Description

Responsible for overseeing projects that directly impact Pharma NAM daily operations and ensure they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This includes planning, organizing staff and stakeholders, project control, and implementation. The Operations Project Manager (OPM) leads projects as needed for all Pharma NAM sites involving internal processes, systems, and improvements within the organization. The OPM will collaborate with site GMs, operational teams, IT, and other SGS partner functions as needed.

  1. Identify best-in-class solutions for business enhancement and develop & execute medium to high complexity projects for system and process enhancement.
  2. Understand the impact of requirements on business processes and the technical landscape.
  3. Perform risk assessments and determine mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
  4. Create requirements models or process diagrams to visualize current and future states.
  5. Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to implement solutions that improve efficiencies in business processes.
  6. Facilitate workshop sessions with stakeholders to identify process bottlenecks and requirements; consult with technical and Strategic Transformation teams to identify solutions.
  7. Effectively monitor and control project progress and mitigate risks.
  8. Work with leaders across departments to ensure goals are met and projects are completed on time.
  9. Use metrics to track progress, identify issues, and implement improvements.
  10. Document business requirements, define business rules, and create process maps with technical and non-technical team members.
  11. Interact with all levels of management, suppliers, and end users. Obtain senior management buy-in on programs and initiatives as needed.
  12. Manage User Acceptance Testing in collaboration with business stakeholders.
  13. Write and maintain user documentation in collaboration with IT teams.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Science, Engineering, Project Management, Information Technology) required.
  • 5+ years of experience managing business process projects, including medium to high complexity IT projects.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with continuous improvement tools such as LEAN, 5S, and Kaizen.
  • Experience with project management.
  • Strong IT knowledge/background.
