Job summary

Allison Transmission is seeking a Program Manager to coordinate multi-sectional projects with customers, vendors, and consultants. You will manage program timing, cost, and quality, lead internal launch reviews, and drive cross-functional collaboration using the Operations Playbook templates.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, facilities, procurement, and global teams; engaging with Outside North America facilities; and ensuring delivery on time and within

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or finance.
  • 5+ years experience in a related position.
  • 10+ years' experience in related position (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a Program Plan using the Operations Program Management Playbook.
  • Coordinate with multiple departments (Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Facilities, Procurement, etc.).
  • Coordinate with Outside North America facilities for program deliverables when needed.
  • Maintain program timing, cost, and quality across the organization.
  • Organize and conduct internal launch and gate reviews.
  • Utilize Recovery Plan to maintain deliverables.
  • Produce timely and accurate program documents using SharePoint templates.

Job Description:
Primary Purpose of Role:

Consults on coordination of critical, multi-sectional projects involving customers, vendors, and consultants.Keeps management advised of project accomplishments and major problem areas as well as budget and schedule status.A leader who directly manages othersis responsible fordriving the performance of each direct report and the teamas a whole byclarifying expectations, understanding capabilities and motivators, and guiding associate development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • In collaboration with the Corporate Product LineTeam Leader and the Operations Functional Staff, develop and implement a "Program Plan" using the methods and templates as defined in the Operations Program Management (OPM) Playbook.
  • The functional departments as defined in Operations include, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Facilities, Procurement, Supplier Quality, Global Supply Chain, Plant Operations, and Operations Program Management
  • To reach out asrequiredto the Outside North America (ONA) facilities for the coordination and execution of the program deliverables.
  • Program Plan development must also consider the inclusion of "non-Operations" departmental landmarks including but not limited to Product Engineering, Product Line Team, Customer Validation and othersignificant events, Allison Staff and Operations Management Team reviews.
  • Responsible and accountable tomaintainprogram timing, cost, and quality by working up, down, and across the organization in a collaborative, professional, and catalytic manner.
  • Organizes, schedules, and conducts internal launch and gate reviews highlighting the deliverables that would have a negative effect on the cost, quality, and delivery of the program.
  • Effectiveutilizationof the "Recovery Plan" tomaintainprogram deliverables. Behavioral Expectations: Ability to lead and influence others to deliver a Program on time, to budget, with the defined quality level in exceeding customer expectations.
  • Demonstrate competency in thetimelyandaccuratecompletion of program documents Organize documents using the establishedmethodology, tools, and templates in Microsoft SharePoint. This is the repository for program documents.
