Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking an Operations Planner to lead tactical production floor planning and procurement support, driving ramp-up in material flow to meet production service levels.

You will collaborate across Suppliers, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to align schedules, translate BOMs into actionable signals, and monitor risk mitigation efforts, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and production targets are achieved.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 3+ years in Manufacturing, Planning, or Supply Chain.
  • Experience translating Engineering designs into demand and supply plans.
  • Strong understanding of ERP and MRP systems.
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office or G-Suite.
  • General understanding of quality system functionality.
  • Strong relationship-building with various levels and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Interface between Suppliers, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to align schedules for critical path items.
  • Translate Engineering bills of materials into actionable planning signals for the Supply Chain and Production teams.
  • Monitor and report supply risk mitigation strategies to internal customers on a continuous basis.
  • Identify and clearly communicate schedule blockers and their impacts.
  • Manage full product lifecycle demand and supply planning signals, from development to production.
  • Negotiate internally & externally to ensure resources are allocated appropriately.
  • Create tools and innovate planning processes to improve supply chain efficiency.

Join the power movement as an Operations Planner

You will manage tactical planning efforts on the production floor as well as procurement planning support. Your focus will be enabling the ramp up in rate and volume of materials to the floor, with the goals of ensuring we meeting production service level expectations

What you'll do:
  • Interface between Suppliers, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to align schedules and resources for critical path items

  • Negotiate internally & externally to ensure resources are appropriately allocated
  • Create tools and innovate planning processes to help the supply chain operate more efficiently
What we’re looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or Finance
  • 3+ Yrs in Manufacturing, Planning, or Supply Chain
  • Experience translating Engineering designs into demand and supply plans
  • Strong understanding of ERP and MRP systems
  • Strong computer skills with MS office or G-Suite applications
  • General understanding of quality system functionality
  • Have strong relationship building skills, and the ability to interact and work effectively with many levels of personnel and suppliers
Bonus points for:
  • Master’s Degree
  • Start-up or high growth environment
  • Experience with resource allocation
  • Creating and maintaining master schedules
  • Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)
Must-have requirements:
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics
  • Perform activities such as typing, standing, or sitting for extended periods of time
  • Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionally

$90,000 - $120,000 a year

Salary range for this full-time position + equity + benefits. The actual salary will depend on level, location, qualifications, and experience. The range displayed on each job posting reflects new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Benefits include:
