Job summary

New Mexico Department of Transportation will monitor and maintain an inventory of performance measures for all work units in District 4. Develop and implement improvement strategies for current processes and apply for quality awards and grants where eligible.

Prepare and maintain district brochures, publications, and an Employee Recognition Program, and serve as the main contact for the New Mexico Roads Website and a spokesperson for district news and events.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Accounting, plus one year of related experience.
  • Three years combined education/experience may substitute for the required education and experience.
  • Experience drafting news releases and working with local governments.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze inquiries and submit periodic reports to management.
  • Draft news releases for radio, newspaper, and television use.
  • Prepare articles for departmental newsletter layout.
  • Will be the main contact for the New Mexico Roads Website and act as the spokesperson for District news and events.
