Job summary

Belk is seeking an Operations Team Associate to drive sales and deliver a positive customer experience by processing inbound truck deliveries and preparing merchandise for the sales floor.

The role supports maintenance, back-of-house organization, and collaborates with merchandising to place and sign product on the floor. This hourly position requires flexibility and a team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service mindset and ability to resolve issues.
• Clear communication with team and customers.
• Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets and Windows devices.

Responsibilities

• Unload cartons from truck deliveries and sort by department.
• Prepare and hang items to ensure product readiness for the sales floor.
• Complete stock and RFID tasks to support inventory accuracy.
• Assist with facilities maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities.
• Support floor sets, pricing changes, and customer order fulfillment.
• Replenish supplies and maintain cleanliness and organization on the sales floor.
• Learn operational processes and stay informed on products and store events.
• Acknowledge and assist customers to enhance in-store experience.
• Foster a positive team culture and follow safety protocols.
