Job summary

The Estée Lauder Companies is seeking a Production Mechanic to maintain, install and repair equipment across the Filling, Compounding and R&D areas. You will support the production floor with set-ups, instrumented maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires 2+ years of maintenance/technical schooling and 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience, plus strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years college or technical school in maintenance/related field.
• 1-3 years experience in industrial maintenance/mechanical field preferred.
• General mechanical knowledge, including troubleshooting and repairing gearboxes, motors, pumps, bearings, and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and modify equipment to ensure maximum productivity and quality.
• Perform trouble shooting and repairs on manufacturing equipment (kettles, mixers, pumps, filling and packaging equipment, etc).
• Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Assist operators and fellow mechanics with challenges during set-ups, operation and troubleshooting of the equipment.
• Maintain the inventory of needed spare parts and maintenance records in CMMS
• Train operators on technical abilities of equipment.
• Perform installations and assist in validation of new equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors on quotes and project work.
• Other duties as assigned.
