Boise Cascade in Auburn, GA is seeking an Operations Manager to lead the yard, warehouse, trucking, maintenance and safety programs. You will oversee order fulfillment, will call, on-time delivery, inventory control and loading, while coordinating transportation with carriers and ensuring DOT compliance.

Ideal candidates have a college degree or equivalent, strong leadership and communication skills, and 7+ years in related roles, preferably in building materials.

Qualifications

• College Degree or equivalent work experience in related job function.
• Working conditions are an office environment with some physical exertion.
• Performs some duties under seasonal environmental conditions.
• Degree in warehouse management or related field preferred.
• Experience in transportation management preferred.
• Knowledge of building materials, transportation, warehouse, or management practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee yard, warehouse, trucking, maintenance, and safety program functions.
• Manage order fulfillment, will call, and on-time delivery including product selection, loading and transportation.
• Resolve shipment or delivery problems and backlog issues.
• Negotiate carrier contacts and ensure DOT compliance and legal load requirements.
• Manage warehouse receipt, PO reconciliation, inventory control, storage design and loading.
• Train, guide and coach materials-handling personnel; maintain safe, OSHA-compliant work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
