Job summary

Nova Underground is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and coordinate underground utility construction projects from start to finish. The role encompasses managing daily operations, crews, safety, and schedules across multiple sites.

Ideal candidates have underground construction and operations management experience, strong organizational and leadership skills, and are comfortable in the field and office. A robust uncapped quarterly bonus is available based on results.

Qualifications

• Experience in underground utility construction is required.
• Operations management experience in underground utility construction is required.
• Knowledge of underground utility installation practices.
• Experience with HDD is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee underground utility projects from start to completion.
• Plan daily and weekly work for multiple crews and job sites.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and project schedules.
• Communicate with foremen, customers, general contractors, inspectors, engineers, and management.
• Review project plans, specifications, scopes of work, and schedules.
• Conduct jobsite visits and monitor progress.
• Identify and resolve field issues to prevent delays.
• Ensure crews have necessary information, equipment and materials.
• Monitor production, job costs, schedules, and overall performance.
• Schedule new and upcoming projects.
• Coordinate mobilization and demobilization of crews and equipment.
• Manage change orders and project documentation.
• Ensure work meets project requirements and safety standards.
• Promote and enforce safety policies.
