Job summary

Sundt Enterprise is seeking a Senior Construction Operations Manager to lead the District/Division's senior management initiatives. You will develop procedures, manage project audits, and ensure timely financial reporting across projects.

Responsibilities include design review, subcontract and PO agreements, schedules and procurement planning, and implementing QA/QC and continuous improvement across the portfolio. This role also covers risk analysis and personnel development.

Qualifications

  • Advanced management or technical training preferred.
  • Excellent management, leadership, business and technical skills.
  • Extensive experience in estimating techniques, selective engineering disciplines, cost control systems, building systems, scheduling, productivity analysis, construction operations and billing/cash flow methods.
  • Four year engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience.
  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
  • Ten or more years of experience in the construction of projects similar to those executed by the division/subsidiary.

  • Ensure the accurate and timely submission of operations financial reporting for all projects.
  • Manage the Operations functions of the profit center and participate in Go/No Go for project selection and supervise project transition from estimating to the field.
  • Provide assistance to resolve problems related to construction, subcontractors, owners, architects and engineers and coordinate with legal to submit active claims reports.
  • Responsible for design review (budget vs. design), preparation of general conditions, schedules, budget review and project profitability goals, and coordination of purchasing plan schedule commitments.
  • Implement and execute project QA/QC and Continuous Improvement programs; ensure timely closeout of projects.
  • Oversee personnel assignments and manage self-performed work.
  • Develop a pre-qualified list of subcontractors and perform risk analysis of subcontractors.
  • Serve on the Profit Centers Senior Management Team with shared responsibilities for profitability goals, work obtained goals, risk management, performance expectations and personnel development.

Key Responsibilities
  • 1. Develop and maintain consistent administrative procedures, reports, submittals, change orders and provide documentation required to support the company project audit process.
  • 2. Ensure the accurate and timely submission of operations financial reporting for all projects.

  • 7. Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis
  • 8. Will interact with people frequently during a shift/work day

  • 10. Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day.
