TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager - Service in Houston, TX.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Supervises superintendents and employees by providing direction and training, and communicating company policies, procedures, and objectives. Includes hiring, supervising performance management, and implementing progressive discipline.
  2. Administers the company safety program, including performing safety audits when necessary and emphasizing safety to all employees.
  3. Visits job sites and performs quality audits to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and cost-effectively.
  4. Ensures NIM job audits are performed within 15 days of construction and modernization turnovers, identifying issues that could affect equipment reliability and providing feedback for future improvements.
  5. Uses accounting reports and Map Point to review route management and callbacks, making necessary adjustments to improve profitability.
  6. Provides technical input to sales staff regarding the scope of work and materials needed for repair bids, including labor and material cost calculations.
  7. Collaborates with the Branch Manager and service and repair Sales Managers to address customer needs.
  8. Maintains knowledge of all relevant federal, state, and local elevator industry code requirements.
  9. Stays updated on company products through training, reviewing factory equipment updates, and working with regional trainers.
  10. Administers parts programs for contract service and repair to meet budget expectations and ensure customer satisfaction.
Who we are looking for

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  1. Thorough knowledge of the elevator industry and management methods within the industry.
  2. Bachelor's degree or extensive industry and management experience; or two years' experience managing at a branch level; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  3. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  4. Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle multiple variables.
