Monster Tree Service Omaha is looking for someone to lead and be part of a growing, results-focused team with members who are structuring themselves around solving problems for customers, respect for each other, safety, and responsibility!

We have a dynamic opportunity for an Operations Manager + Sales Arborist ‘hybrid’ function to complement and oversee daily operations (and assist when needed), be responsible for safety, develop and complete sales, manage bid and budgeted hours, arrange delivery of services, implement Plant Health Care delivery, manage customer satisfaction, and engage employees while upholding the ethical standards and reputation of the organization.

The position offers a competitive wage plus a commission overlay, base salary $55k-100k PLUS commission depending on experience and drive, training, benefits, year-round employment, and the opportunity to lead and develop a positive, productive, and cautious work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations and create efficiencies with crews, equipment, and supplies.
  • Provide training and guidance to field crews following ANSI and company standards.
  • Monitor crew productivity to ensure goals and targets are being met.
  • Help manage fleet and equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Sell and help deliver Plant Health Care solutions.
  • Business Development, sell, and schedule.
  • Schedule and meet prospective residential and commercial clients to assess and propose tree care services.
  • Follow-up on open proposals to answer questions and close sales.
  • Be responsible for the hiring, supervision, and retention of field employees.
  • Coordinate training to ensure all field personnel are properly trained, licensed, etc.
  • Must be familiar with industry safety standards and procedures and be willing to enforce those and company safety policies.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Business Management or Arboriculture, Forestry, Environmental Sciences, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • CTSP and/or ISA Certification desired but not required.
  • Management experience in the tree care industry preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, prior experience training employees is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills: must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and management.
  • Successful candidates will excel in logistics and have experience in the day-to-day operations of a business, preferably in the tree care or landscape industries.
  • A clean/valid driver’s license.
