Responsibilities for the Operations Manager include providing independent leadership for the day-to-day operations of the Orientation Office and Parents & Family front office, serving as the primary supervisor responsible for the performance, work direction, and day-to-day management of the Orientation student staff team. The operations Manager independently manages the student employee lifecycle, including recruitment, interview coordination, onboarding, work assignment, performance management, coaching, evaluation, and recommendations regarding candidate selection, continued employment, and corrective action. The position exercises independent judgment in establishing work priorities, directing daily operations, allocating staffing resources, and ensuring the successful planning and execution of Orientation programs and related initiatives.
This role also provides operational leadership for Parents & Family Programs by coordinating student employee resources and assisting with the planning and execution of Parents & Family Weekend and other family engagement initiatives. In addition, the position develops and supports family and parent engagement initiatives, helping to create meaningful opportunities for new families to connect with Boston University.
This role requires a bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience.
