The Operations Manager will effectively manage the extrusion operations team to achieve maximum results for Safety, Quality, Productivity and Efficiency. Direct the day-to-day operations of the extrusion facility. Provide the leadership to develop teamwork among team members to allow them to continually improve process and products. This position is responsible for the supervision of at least 150 employees with at least 5 direct reports, which would manage the remainder of the work force.
Able to identify improvement opportunities, manage performance indicators and solve problems by rigorously following continuous improvement principles. Ensure steadfast monitoring of processes, progress and results via KPI’s.
Ability to facilitate the process of change, while helping others to adapt to its effects. Able to explain the need for change by communicating gaps as well as the benefits while being sensitive to evolution of the people and culture.
