The Role:

We’re looking for an Operations Manager with extensive landscape construction and design knowledge who can lead operations, manage our design team, and communicate with contractors (our clients). This role is critical in freeing up the founder from day-to-day operations so the business can scale. You’ll ensure projects move seamlessly, deadlines are met, and contractors are thrilled with their experience.

What You’ll Do:

• Oversee the full lifecycle of landscape design projects, from intake to delivery, making sure projects stay on time and exceed contractor expectations.
• Assign projects to the right designers based on skillsets and availability—keeping workloads balanced and flowing.
• Act as the main point of contact for contractors, providing project updates, resolving issues, and ensuring communication is clear and professional.
• Provide quick operational feedback to designers based on your landscape construction/design expertise.
• Collaborate with our Design Director for quality checks, but lead the operational side of project completion.
• Manage workflows in Monday.com and Slack —ensure systems run like clockwork and nothing slips through the cracks.
• Build and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to scale efficiently.
• Mentor and support our Project Manager (Frances) and design team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years experience in operations management within landscape construction, design, or related industries.
• Proven track record managing teams and leading operations.
• Deep understanding of landscape construction processes and design workflows.
• Strong experience with Monday.com, Slack, or similar project management tools.
• Excellent communication skills —you know how to keep clients informed and teams aligned.
• Comfortable working remotely with a global team across time zones.
• Ability to give feedback quickly and clearly to keep projects moving.
