Job summary

Materion Corporation in Lorain, Ohio is seeking a seasoned manufacturing leader to drive continuous improvement across Primary Operations. You will guide production, quality, safety and cost performance, while aligning with the Lorain Management Team to meet customer requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering or related field and 8+ years of manufacturing leadership, with experience in induction/ melting furnaces and lean/six-sigma programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Production/Operations management or related field.
• 8+ years of manufacturing leadership with progressive responsibilities.
• Induction furnace experience preferred.
• Knowledge of melting furnace construction, refractories, furnace ventilation, and casting mold design preferred.
• Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and industrial automation training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement and optimization of all manufacturing processes.
• Develop efficiency strategies to meet production goals at target costs.
• Ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Lead hourly and salaried staff and maintain high morale.
• Collaborate with Lorain Management Team to improve plant performance.
