About Heiman PPE Care and Maintenance:
At Heiman PPE Care and Maintenance, we take pride in supporting the safety and effectiveness of our first responders by providing high-quality cleaning, repair, and maintenance services for protective ensembles and turnout gear. We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to lead and oversee our facility operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and excellence in service. This facility is brand new and is state-of-the-art!

Position Summary:
The Operations Manager will supervise daily cleaning and maintenance operations, oversee contract compliance, manage work orders and reporting, and ensure full adherence to NFPA standards and safety regulations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of firefighter protective gear and supporting the safety of those who rely on it.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff performing daily cleaning, repair, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, company policies, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor contract compliance, work orders, billing, and reporting for fire department customers.
  • Recommend corrective actions and process improvements when needed.
  • Maintain inventory control and oversee ordering of supplies.
  • Monitor and evaluate workflow for maximum efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments and participate in semiannual meetings with the training and quality assurance teams.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in operations management within a computerized warehouse, industrial laundry, or product maintenance environment.
  • Strong personnel supervision and leadership skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards and safety regulations (preferred).
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
