Job Description

Overview of the Position:


The Operations Manager will report directly to the President and will be responsible for providing results-driven leadership and direction to the Operations Department. Key responsibilities include planning, budgeting, resource management, scheduling, training, key metrics presentation, quality, and process improvement. The role involves overseeing the performance and productivity of direct reports and assisting in hiring and development within the operations departments.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Align operations strategy with business objectives, supporting growth and maintaining customer focus.

  • Foster a high-urgency, value-added, accountable culture across departments.

  • Collaborate on reports, measurements, and benchmarks to identify continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Lead initiatives to improve operations, quality, reduce costs, and engage employees.

  • Manage production schedules and ensure effective communication and execution.

  • Coordinate with support teams to meet production goals and escalate issues when necessary.

  • Ensure data integrity within systems.

  • Oversee weekly timesheets, PTO, performance plans, disciplinary actions, and recruitment.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Mechanical experience in aviation.

  • Knowledge of Program Management tools and performance metrics development, including MS Office.

  • Leadership experience supervising multiple shops.

  • Ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop solutions.

  • Strong decision-making, leadership, and technical writing skills.

  • Understanding of Repair Station and Design & Development quality manuals.

  • Knowledge of FAA and foreign airworthiness regulations.

  • Experience in quality control and new product development in aviation.


Requirements

Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of related experience or equivalent.
