Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Operations Manager to lead branch operations, drive service excellence, and ensure successful project execution. You will oversee planning, proposals, and on-site performance while fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in operations within fire alarm or related industries, strong leadership, and solid MS Office skills to manage contracts, costs, and client relationships effectively.

Qualifications

• College degree, trade school or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of operations within fire alarm industry, service or project management.

Responsibilities

• Manage, oversee and coordinate all branch operation activities including operations planning, qualifying potential business, and proposals review.
• Coach and train the Operations team to enhance skills and performance.
• Ensure customer satisfaction on all installed accounts and oversee contract execution, costs, and invoicing.

• Manage, oversee and coordinate all aspects of branch operation activities including, but not limited to, the following: operations planning, qualifying potential business, operational review of proposals and bookings.
• Coach, council and train the Operations force to improve individual skills.
• Overall responsibility for customer satisfaction on all installed accounts.
• Overall responsibility for execution of contracts – estimated cost vs. actual cost; review of contracts; supervision of labor and subcontractors; planning and scheduling contracts, preparation of invoices, and collections.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

What You’ll Need

• Strong management skills related to Project Management.
• Leadership Orientation – Actively seeks ways in which to act as a role model, guide, develop and mentor others within the Operations Department; Strong team leadership, team building and facilitation skills.
• Strong financial analytical skills including cost control.
• Excellent Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Power Point skills.

Requirements

Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience: 3-5 years operations within the fire alarm industry, service or field or project management.

• Previous project supervisory

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, building automation, and/or healthcare
• NICET certification
