Located in Fernley, NV

PRIMARY FUNCTION

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for forecasting, managing and guiding all operations activities to achieve safe, efficient and economical production; and to maintain the highest standards of quality and volume requirements. As Operations Manager you will also lead continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor. The ideal candidate should have proven operational effectiveness at a leadership level of a manufacturing plant, possess excellent people management skills, and proven success in managing process improvement projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • As a member of the Senior Plant Staff, develop short and long-term plans, policies, programs, operating procedures and objectives
  • Delegate responsibilities, provide guidance and give direction to the Floor Supervision
  • Act as a liaison between co-workers and management team to keep people informed on matters of communication, decisions and policies
  • Administer or assist in coordination of various programs such as, housekeeping, cost reduction, plant security, and hourly wage administration
  • Ensure all plant productivity, quality and safety goals are achieved
  • Ensure all quality and process procedures are followed at all levels in Production department
  • Act as a liaison with vendors and customers, as well as departments within DNA; sales, supply chain, purchasing, etc.
  • Ensure spending does not exceed budget.
  • Identify target performance levels for plant awards program; challenge team to achieve goals
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage, administer and coordinate employee records management, tracking reports, data collection and transposing information for management reports.
  • Maintain attendance records for direct reports.
  • Handle routine vacation requests from employees.
  • Coordinate leaves of absence with Human Resources Department.
  • Review exception reports for payroll accuracy.
  • Audit housekeeping on a regular basis.

Education and/or Experience
