Job description

Chirp Robotics Corporation is a defense technology company building next-generation drone defense systems with engineering at its core. Our mission is to defend those on the front lines by delivering reliable, low-cost autonomous systems designed to neutralize aerial threats at scale.

At Chirp, we believe great engineering teams—empowered, trusted, and focused—are the key to solving the hardest defense challenges. We blend deep technical expertise with a fast, iterative development model to design, test, and field capable systems in record time.

As our Operations Manager, you'll be the backbone of our day-to-day office operations and play a key role in shaping the internal infrastructure that supports our mission. You’ll own everything from office upkeep and HR coordination to planning new office expansions and staying ahead of daily organizational needs. You will be working directly with the leadership team.

Responsibilities:

The Operations Manager role in an early-stage startup is a dynamic and changing role. The ability to adapt to rapidly evolving needs is essential.

Office Management

  • Oversee daily office operations, including inventory, supplies, vendor coordination, and facilities maintenance
  • Manage relationships with service providers and landlords
  • Maintain a welcoming, organized, and productive work environment

HR Support

  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Coordinate with leadership on hiring operations, employee policies, and compliance
  • Maintain employee records and support benefits administration

Site Planning

  • Lead site selection for new offices and operational spaces
  • Coordinate setup and move-in logistics
  • Work with legal and executive team to support lease negotiations and budgeting

General Operations

  • Stay ahead of team and leadership needs—anticipate, identify, and resolve issues before they escalate
  • Help organize internal events, team meetings, and vendor visits
  • Take ownership of recurring operational tasks and continuously improve them

What We're Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in operations, office management, or HR support roles
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills—you keep chaos at bay and details in check
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats and working in a fast-paced, startup environment
  • Clear communicator with a service-minded approach
  • Experience with setting up new offices or managing facilities a plus
  • Familiarity with tools like Greenhouse, Ramp, Outlook, and project management tools

Some characteristics that are essential for the ideal candidate to thrive in this role:

  • Self Starter– Takes initiative and follows through
  • Acts with urgency and focus – Prioritizes what matters, moves quickly, and follows through on the small stuff
  • Thrives in ambiguity – Calm in the unknown and good at building structure from scratch
  • Builds for scale – See's how today’s small task could turn into tomorrow’s process
  • Keeps the team moving – Thinks ahead, remove blockers, and create a smooth, productive environment
  • Cares about the mission and the team – Shows up with empathy, curiosity, and a genuine desire to help others do their best work

At Chirp Robotics, we believe that exceptional teams deserve exceptional support. Our compensation packages are designed to reflect the value of your contributions and provide stability, flexibility, and room to grow. The salary range for each role is based on multiple factors, including your experience, education, skillset, and business needs. In addition to a competitive base salary, most full-time roles include equity grants—ensuring every team member has a stake in our mission and future.

We’re proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time U.S.-based employees.

Chirp Robotics is an equal opportunity employer. We value diverse backgrounds, fresh perspectives, and a shared commitment to building the future of defense technology.

If you're passionate about solving real-world defense challenges with a tight-knit, high-trust engineering team—we’d love to hear from you.
