Job summary

Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation is seeking a Doughnut Factory Operations Manager to support the General Manager at a Concord, NC location. You will drive production efficiency, lead staff, ensure safety and sanitation, and manage budgeting and reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with sales, management, production and customer service.

• Basic computer, telephone and fax knowledge.
• Must be available for full time (40+ hours/wk).
• Post secondary education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maximize production efficiency and control variances in daily production.
• Implement quality control procedures and standards.
• Coordinate production schedules to meet demand and minimize labor hours.
• Inspect and troubleshoot production or equipment problems.
• Ensure all products meet Krispy Kreme quality standards.
• Partner with GM to achieve profitability and business plan goals.
• Demonstrate safety consciousness and maintain sanitation standards.
• Oversee facility and equipment upkeep.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise shift personnel; foster teamwork.
• Assist in budgeting, financial reporting and asset protection.
• Communicate and model company standards and policies.

Job description

Since its founding in 1937, Krispy Kreme's focus has remained the same - making fresh doughnuts using our founder's original recipe. The brand's iconic Hot Light lets consumers know when doughnuts are being made in the shop so they can stop in and enjoy them hot, right off the line.

The Doughnut Factory Operations Manager provides support for the General Manager. They work to exceed customer expectations, foster an ethic of teamwork, develop staff members' abilities and competencies, and achieve the financial objectives established for their assigned location. Their long-term objective is to develop their own skills towards becoming a General Manager.

HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Production

• Understand and implement procedures to maximize efficiencies and control variances in daily production of product and overall performance
• Understand and implement quality control procedures, including standards
• Coordinate production schedules to meet customer demands and minimize labor hours
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and assess any production or equipment problems
• Ensure all products meet Krispy Kreme quality standards

Sales

• Work with the General Manager to achieve business plan objectives and profitability as set forth in the operating plan and in the established financial goals

Safety and Sanitation

• Demonstrate safety consciousness and promote safety, e.g. shoes, floor cones, etc.
• Maintain a high level of sanitation and cleanliness, e.g. cleaning schedules, training, etc.

Equipment

• Oversee proper upkeep of facility and equipment

Personnel

• Assist the General Manager in recruiting, hiring, training, and dispute resolution
• Supervise all shift personnel
• Build a team of customer-focused employees and foster teamwork
• Demonstrate leadership in employee development, including that of Supervisor
• Assist in communicating to employees and enforcing all policies, standards, and practices

Accounting

• Assist General Manager in completing and managing income and expense budgets, profit and loss, etc.
• Assist General Manager in completing required corporate reporting documentation, both financial and operational
• Manage company resources responsibly including, inventory control
• Manage financial duties
• Protect company assets

Leadership

• Communicate and model company standards and policies
• Implement efficiently and effectively directives from doughnut factory, corporate, and divisional management
• Develop and maintain doughnut factory organization to promote efficient operations
• Interface with corporate office personnel
