Job summary

Apogee Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to lead manufacturing within a liquid coatings environment, ensuring safe, efficient, high‑quality production.

You will drive continuous improvement, optimize resources, and partner with cross‑functional teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost targets. The role requires strong leadership, experience with coatings processes, and a data‑driven approach to operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or operations management or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive manufacturing operations experience in coatings/industrial environments preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct leadership for manufacturing teams and align with production, quality, safety and operational goals.
• Lead daily operations to meet production targets and optimize labor utilization.
• Champion Lean manufacturing, Kaizen events, 6S and standardized work practices.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, supply chain, engineering and other functions to remove bottlenecks and improve throughput.
• Monitor KPIs such as throughput, downtime and FPY; implement corrective actions as needed.
