Job summary

Loomis US is seeking an Operations Manager in Tampa, FL to lead recruiting, training, and supervision of operations personnel across route, dispatch, vault, and terminal activities. You will oversee vehicle maintenance, safety, and cost control, while ensuring top-tier security for cargo and strong customer service.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years in leadership within logistics/transport, plus related education or military background; safety experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of leadership experience is a plus.
• Logistics or transportation experience required.
• College education or military experience preferred.
• 1-2 years of safety and security experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, interviewing, testing, selecting, and training of operations personnel.
• Oversee route, dispatch, vault, and terminal operations via managers/supervisors.
• Oversee maintenance of vehicles, forklifts, and equipment; ensure timely maintenance and repairs.
• Control costs of operations and ensure safety of employees, vehicles, and facilities.
• Ensure security of cargo and terminals through training and policy enforcement.
• Investigate accidents and handle required paperwork.
• Develop and maintain customer service capabilities among operations staff.
• Respond to customer inquiries and/or complaints.
• Manage overtime, vacations, and efficiency of routes and terminals.
• Plan short and long-range operations to meet branch goals.
• Deliver training to armed driver/guards and terminal staff.
