815 is a withdrawal management and residential program servicing the populations of San Francisco, Alameda, Marin, Contra Costa, and San Mateo counties. Our variable length residential treatment services designed to serve a co-ed population with substance use disorders, some who also have co-occurring mental health disorders, and/or HIV/AIDS. Program services address addiction and related issues, increase skills, manage stressors, develop meaningful links to needed services, and build a foundation for lasting recovery. Individualized case management helps clients make linkages with key providers to increase the availability and use of social supports for a successful transition. Services include individual, group and family therapy, trauma informed care, case management, family reunification, treatment planning, drug and alcohol counseling, re-entry and aftercare, linkage to medical services (including HIV testing and treatment) and medication-assisted treatments (MAT), i.e., Suboxone. Our San Francisco programs link our participants with the HealthRIGHT 360 clinic for their primary medical needs, HIV services, MAT, and infectious disease prevention.

Works in collaboration with the management team to oversee all program operational and administrative activities for 815 Buena Vista Avenue West Co-Ed Residential. Responsible for overall effective and efficient operations of the program through the oversight of supportive staff and direct responsibilities. The Operations Manager also works to compile, process, and maintain records that are consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of our agency and funders. Additionally, serves as assistant to the Director of Residential Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with facility Driver(s) in regards to transportation schedule and serves as on-site contact for facility maintenance staff and kitchen staff.
  • Oversees office admin and ensures systems are in place to support a customer service oriented system through an effective and efficient front office.
  • Responsible for the overall efficient and effective operation of program administrative department.
  • Oversees office and building repairs, and ensures that all records of repair requests are completed.
  • Provides training for staff on policies, procedures, and facility responsibilities.
  • Assists with team personnel issues as needed.
  • Work with team to ensure preventative maintenance and safety precautions are taken (i.e. regular maintenance of AC/Heating units, gates, fire alarms, etc).
  • Monitor maintenance ticket system.

Education And Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Education, Certification, and Experience Required:

  • BA/BS in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or related field.
  • 2+ years of management experience.
  • 1+ year of experience working in a residential treatment setting.

Desired:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, counseling, psychology, or related field.
  • Experience working with criminal justice-involved populations.

Background Clearance:

  • Must not be on active parole or probation, clear with OIG database.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain satisfactory background check.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain live scan clearance.

Knowledge Required:

  • Expert knowledge in substance use treatment.
  • Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population.
  • Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self sufficiency.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word Outlook and internet applications.
  • Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of community resources for non-profit substance abuse treatment facilities.
  • Experience with government contracts and compliance.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and trauma informed treatment.
  • Bilingual.
  • Knowledge of Clinical documentation (treatment plans, progress notes etc.).
  • Experience working with criminal justice population.
