Summary

The Parts Professional will support customers by assisting them in finding the parts needed to keep their equipment running while also supporting the work of other departments in the dealership. Their purpose is to continue learning the business and gaining the knowledge and experience necessary to work within the framework of the Parallel Ag business model.

Essential Functions

• Offering legendary customer service to customers
• Perform counter sales and answer customer inquiries
• Process daily parts orders and drop ship orders
• Fill and prepare orders, via phone or in person, for shipment or for customer pickup
• Ensure a clean, safe, and friendly workplace and warehouse environment
• Assist in addressing discrepancies in parts inventory
• Determine the proper mode of transportation for parts shipments
• Operate a forklift for loading and unloading cargo
• Check in daily and stock orders as needed
• Maintain a team-oriented environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with co-workers, vendors, and customers
• Ability to professionally manage difficult customer situations
• Willingness to work overtime, including Saturday rotation, and be available for 24-hour on-call rotations
• Preferred: Parts experience in heavy equipment, agriculture, or automotive industries
• Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
• Positive attitude and desire to work as a team player
• Computer literate
• Self-motivated, energetic, and detail-minded with a strong work ethic

Physical Demands

The position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Frequent lifting and/or moving items over 40 lbs. is required. Close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are also required.

Position Type / Expected Hours

Full-time; Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Work Environment

The job will operate in various environments including climate-controlled spaces inside the department/warehouse, outside, and in the weather.
