Job summary

Premium Guard, Inc is hiring an Operations Manager for the Albion, IL plant to lead daily manufacturing activities, improve safety, quality, and productivity, and allocate resources efficiently. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will drive performance in an air filter manufacturing environment.

Qualified candidates bring a Bachelor's in Business/Operations/Engineering and at least 7 years in manufacturing, with Lean, Six Sigma, and IATF knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Production/Operations/Plant Manager experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, IATF quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a large team in a time-sensitive environment.
• Maintain a safety-first culture and implement safety standards with EH&S.
• Keep operations on time and within budget and facility objectives.
• Monitor demand and capacity to maintain appropriate hourly labor levels.
• Develop systems to track safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Communicate effectively at all levels and support facility-wide communication.
• Set goals, conduct appraisals, and coach direct reports.
• Assist Plant Manager with budget development.
• Develop training programs and resolve employee issues.
• Enforce company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are excited to announce that we’re hiring an Operations Manager for our Albion, IL location. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the primary function of this role is to lead daily activities, improve safety, quality, & productivity, and manage resource allocation at our air filter manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment
• Maintains a safety-first culture throughout facility. Works with EH&S staff to establish and ensure implementation of safety standards
• Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget and facility objectives are met
• Monitors demand and capacity information to maintain appropriate hourly labor levels
• Develops systems and processes that track and optimize safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance
• Effectively communicates at all levels and supports communication throughout the facility.
• Establishes goals, conducts performance appraisals and provides coaching and guidance for direct reports
• Assists Plant Manager in the development of budgets
• Develops and supports programs that provide training and motivation, resolution of employee problems, and coordination of work efforts.
• Supports and ensures enforcement of company policies and procedures
• Performs other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Skills, and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or Engineering or equivalent in education and experience
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience as a Production Manager, Operations Manager, or Plant Manager - preferred
• Working knowledge of manufacturing and quality systems – Lean, Six Sigma, IATF, etc
• Knowledge of automotive air and cabin air filter manufacturing – preferred
• Strong leadership, conflict management, problem solving, and communication skills
